Extra Files
This zip file contains a set of data files that may be useful for specific county, or Central Piedmont, initiatives. For each county there are two additional Refinery Candidate Buffer Statistics Database shapefiles. The files named [CountyName]RefineryCandidatesAllinCountyBuffStats5to50.shp contain land use buffer distance totals for only the parcels within the same county, even if the buffers extend outside of the county. The files named [CountyName]RefineryCandidatesAllofCPBuffStats5to50.shp contain land use buffer distance totals for only the parcels within the 10 county Central Piedmont region, even if the buffers extend outside of the Central Piedmont region.

Excel Worksheets
This zip file contains Excel-compatible copies of the Parcel Information Databases and the Refinery Candidate Buffer Statistics Databases files for each of the 10 Central Piedmont Counties. The Parcel Information Databases are in .xls format while the Refinery Candidate Buffer Statistics Databases are in .dbf format because they contain more fields then .xls files can display. KML Files
The files below are KML versions, in compressed KMZ format, of the Parcel Information Databases and the Refinery Candidate Buffer Statistics Databases for each of the ten Central Piedmont Counties. The KML files are meant for use in Google Earth, which can be obtained for free at earth.google.com. The files are too large for use with Google Maps, which has a limit of 1,000 features.
Parcel Information Databases
This zip file contains the Parcel Information Database KML (KMZ) files for each of the ten Central Piedmont Counties. The KML files contain parcel outlines (in black) of each parcel in the county larger than 20 acres. Clicking on the parcel outline displays a box listing all of the data fields for that parcel. The pin number of the parcel is used as the label for each parcel polygon in the Google Earth table of contents. The color, width, and transparency of the parcel outlines can all be customized within Google Earth. For descriptions of the meaning of each field, download the small metadata pack listed under the GIS files section above.

Refinery Candidate Buffer Statistics Databases
The first KMZ file contains all of the Refinery Candidate Buffer Statistics Databases for each of the ten Central Piedmont Counties combined into one file. The KML file contains parcel outlines (in black) of each Refinery Candidate parcel. Clicking on the parcel outline displays a box listing all of the data fields for that parcel. The pin number of the parcel is used as the label for each parcel in the Google Earth table of contents. The color, width, and transparency of the parcel outlines can all be customized within Google Earth. For descriptions of the meaning of each field, download the small metadata pack listed under the GIS files section above.

The second KMZ file also contains all of the Refinery Candidate Buffer Statistics Databases for each of the ten Central Piedmont Counties combined into one. However, this KML file color codes the parcel by the amount of NLCD hay within 50 miles of the Refinery Candidate. It is meant to serve as an example of the types of KML files that can be created to help find the best Refinery Candidate. Clicking on the colored overlay displays a call box listing all of the data fields for that parcel. The pin number of the parcel is used as the label for each parcel in the Google Earth table of contents. The color, width, and transparency of the colored parcel polygons can all be customized within Google Earth.
