Residential Design Review

Residential design reviews cover a broad range of topics from passive solar calculations to energy efficiency to the various topics and implementation strategies included various third party green building verification programs such as NC HealthyBuilt Homes, NAHBGreen or LEED for Homes. If you are new to high performance homes, we can help you create a roadmap for building the most energy independent and efficient home you can afford.

If you are interested in a personal, educational meeting with a member of the High Performance Building program at the N.C. Solar Center to review/discuss the design of a new home, the renovation of an existing home or a visit to the site of a new or existing home, send an email to designreview@ncsu.edu You will then receive information that explains these reviews and how to schedule them.

For residential owners who are not involved in the home building profession, there is a limit of three residential education hours.  There is no limit of time for this education when being provided to home builders or designers and the homeowner may be involved in that process.  It is important that you realize our assistance is focused on education and is not considered professional consulting.
